Although there are a TON of great movies out in theatre right now (anyone see The Theory of Everything? So, so amazing!) don’t dismiss the DVR as it is cozy season after all. But before I start, isn’t the above “movie night” dreamy?! Backyard goals…
Set in a parallel universe, Comet bounces back and forth over the course of an unlikely but perfectly paired couple’s six-year relationship between Justin Long and Emmy Rossum. (from IMDB)
This movie reminded me of 500 Days of Summer with the time lapses and flashbacks mixed with a feeling of magic..
A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. (from IMDB)
To be honest, from the trailer, I wasn’t that interested but this proved to be a great gem! It was fun and sweet starring Sofia Vergara and Jon Favreau. I loved the line that “being lost is a good place to start over”.
Gucci: The Director
This intimate portrait of Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini, spends 18 months inside the walls of the iconic Italian fashion house, exploring the intricacies of a quietly brilliant woman whose evolution as the creative force behind the brand is as nuanced as the storied company itself. (from Showtime)
I love a deep dive inside a creative mind and this documentary did not disappoint.
