Flipboard: Grandma’s New Way to Send You Articles

Remember how your Grandma would cut out articles that she thought you would be interested in and mail them to you with a cute note? Well Flipboard is your tech-savvy Grandma that has dubbed itself “the world’s first social magazine”.

Today, the average time spent on mobile apps is 2 hours and 19 minutes a day. Out of that time spent, news apps having the longest life cycle than any other app. By definition, Flipboard an app that enables you to curate an entire “magazine” of links, images and articles based on any interest you have. The customized magazines can be kept all to yourself, public or shareable, it also gives you the option for comments or interactions from other readers and every article is attributed back to the original content provider.

Bonus, Flipboard has “shoppable” magazines for your wish lists, look books and gift guides with direct links to the brand partners (i.e. Birchbox, Fab and eBay). No wonder its been named one of Apple’s favorite apps.
